Members
of the Pioneer, Diamond and East end Companies pose in front of the Pioneer
firehouse on North Wyoming Street in 1904 for organization of the Four-County
Firemen's Association. The building, now the Greater Hazleton Historical
Society Museum, also housed Hazleton's municipal offices until City Hall
was constructed. Union Hall is at right. In center foreground is East
End Chief George Brandau (later Hazleton Fire Department chief). In foreground
right is Elias Bachman, city fire chief.
