The Greater Hazleton Historical Society Museum offers a varied look at the events, institutions and people responsible for shaping the community.

Hazleton and its surrounding towns owe their origin to the discovery of anthracite coal. We are located in the middle coal fields of northeastern Pennsylvania, one of only two pockets of hard coal in the world.
