Author Susan Campbell Bartoletti signs copies of some of her books for Lattimer residents during her visit to the museum for a special book signing session on Sept. 10, Funfest Sunday.

She has written several children's books and novels with coal mining themes.

Susan, who resides in Moscow, Pa., is the author of the award-winning nonfiction photoessay Growing Up in Coal Country.

Her most recent book, is Kids on Strike!, a look at the individual lives and gripping events that shaped the child labor laws of the 20th century.

Scores of visitors showed up at the museum during Hazleton's annual Funfest celebration which took place on the anniversary of the Lattimer Massacre.
